i have to do english essay. the question is What is your view on an Olympic Games for disabled athletes?

so down under is my answer. credits to kak nadiah and malcolm for helping me out with it. enjoy reading. and pls comment on my work yeah!

Able-bodied people are always put first than the disabled ones. The word 'disabled' itself, when used to describe someone causes many people to picture that person as one who is unable to look after him or herself properly or sitting on a wheelchair, requiring assistance in completing daily tasks. Thus they are seen as a burden to society. I do not agree on this absurd ideology as they are not different from normal people like us. Therefore, I strongly believe that having an Olympic games for the disabled athletes is a wise idea.

When we have Olympic Games for disabled athletes, we will be able to give them the chance to showcase their talents and abilities. This will be able to show them that they are treated equally and that they are not being ignored or look down on. It is also important to treat every individual be it disabled or not, equally. Everyone should be given a chance to showcase their talent.

By having this Olympic Games for the disabled athletes, we will not only give them the chance to showcase their talent, we are also giving them a sense of acceptance and belonging. With these, we will help the disabled athletes boost their self-esteem. By engaging in sports, the disabled athletes will get the chance to play and learn the rules of the different games.

As human beings, it is normal for us to be needing support from family. However, sometimes we do need external support. Rumour has it that, we will need support from the people around us too. The disabled ones especially, need the support from their surroundings. We should not be harsh towards them as they have special needs. They should be given the full support and be motivated and given encouragements, not be forgotten because of their imperfections. However, some people do think that by having Olympic Games for the disabled is a waste of time because they are slow. In point of fact, they should not be prejudiced towards the disabled as the disabled did not ask to be that way.

It would be utmostly iniquitous to be one-sided towards the disabled. As an elder sister of my cognitively impaired sister, I have to admit that I am contented with the fact that the disabled are given opportunities to study. I believe that by having an Olympic Games for the disabled, they will be able to meet those who share the same fate as them. They will then realize that they are not alone and that nothing is wrong with being disabled.

In conclusion, my perspective of this Olympic Games for the disabled athletes is wise as it is some sort of a source for them to be recognized for their inner talents despite having disabilities.
